Sessions are 50 minutes and we would typically meet once a week. Meeting weekly creates a steady rhythm to the work — building momentum while allowing time between sessions for consideration and real-life experience. Although weekly sessions are a common starting point, the frequency can be adjusted over time — with some benefiting from more support during intense periods, and others moving to fortnightly or monthly sessions as things stabilise or their needs change. There is no set minimum or maximum number of sessions.
Green Lane Counselling offers face-to-face appointments in Cobham, alongside online and telephone sessions. In-person sessions are held in a private, welcoming therapy room within a health centre, discreetly situated on a quiet street in the heart of Cobham High Street. The location provides a comfortable, confidential environment that is easy to access.
Every effort is made to accommodate individual preferences. Some clients choose to work exclusively in person or online, while others opt for a flexible hybrid arrangement to suit the practical demands of daily life.
Everything discussed in therapy is treated as confidential. This allows space for you to speak openly about your thoughts, feelings, experiences and personal circumstances.
There are limited exceptions to confidentiality. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I practise in accordance with its Ethical Framework and legal requirements. Confidentiality may only be breached where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, where a serious criminal matter is disclosed, or where disclosure is required by law, such as by court order. Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you in advance.
A session is essentially a conversation — a chance to talk things through with someone neutral, attentive and compassionate. You can bring whatever feels important, whether that’s something specific that’s happened, an ongoing difficulty, or a general sense of feeling stuck or unsettled.
My role is to listen carefully and help you make sense of what you’re experiencing. I don’t usually give direct advice, but I will offer perspective and support as we think things through together. Change tends to feel more solid and lasting when it comes from your own understanding rather than from being told what to do.
I offer an inclusive and affirming space that is sensitive to neurodiversity, gender identity, and individual differences.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and additional qualifications in Counselling Skills and Counselling Studies. I am currently completing a BSc in Psychology and further specialist training in counselling children and young people as part of my ongoing professional development.
My counselling experience spans both private practice and charitable settings, working with adults and young people from diverse backgrounds. Alongside my private work, I continue to volunteer within the community, including counselling roles in schools and a Surrey-based youth centre.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as an Account Director in London’s telecommunications sector. I also hold a BA (Upper Second Class Honours) in Classical Civilisation and Performing Arts.
Sessions are £65, payable within 48 hours of receipt of invoice.
Sessions cancelled with 24 hours notice are exempt from charge. I do not ask for a minimum session commitment.
